CONFIGURATION
1. Access the Web Configuration Utility
Connect the phone to a network with a DHCP server and wait for it to boot to the main interface. This typically takes about 1-2 minutes. Depending on the firmware version the phone has your IP may be displayed once it boots.
You can always access the current IP information by going to the following location in the menu:
Home (Button) -> Settings -> Status -> Network -> TCP/IP Parameters
Once you've obtained the phone's IP address, use your favorite web browser (Chrome/Firefox recommended) and visit the following address:
https://<phone IP Address>/
If everything goes as planned, you should be looking at a page that looks similar to below.
2. Configure NTP Settings
While not strictly required, it's a good idea to setup your backup NTP settings in case your DHCP server does not provide time service information. You can set this by going to the following location in the menu (red highlighted sections):
Simple Setup -> Time Synchronization
When finished, click "Save" at the bottom of the page.
3. Configure SIP Settings
Begin the SIP configuration by going to the following menu location (red highlighted sections):
Settings -> Lines
You should now be on the "Line 1" configuration screen. Each line button you want to use will need to be configured individually but all should generally require the same settings. This example will show you what was required for this specific setup but your requirements may vary.
For each section listed below, you will need to enter this information (red highlighted sections):
"Identification" section:
• Display Name (Supposedly your Call ID if you are not overriding it on VoIP's side)
• Address (Your main/sub account name)
• Label (The name listed next to the Line button on the phone)
• SRTP settings should all be set to "No"
• Server Auto Discovery should be "Disabled" since this is not used
"Authentication" section:
• Use Login Credentials should be "Disabled"
• Domain (Leave blank)
• User ID (Your main/sub account name)
• Password (Your main/sub account password)
"Server 1" section:
• Address (Your selected VoIP.ms SIP server FQDN or IP address)
• Port (5060)
• Transport (UDPOnly)
• Expires (300, your value may depend on your gateway/router timeout values but this is typically fine)
• Subscription Expire(s) (300, same as Expires)
"Message Center" section:
• Callback Mode (Contact)
• Callback Contact (*97 to dial the assigned extension's VM box)
When finished, click "Save" at the bottom of the page.
To make sure that the settings take effect, I recommend you "restart" the phone by going to:
Utilities -> Restart Phone
