What is Call Pickup?
Call pickup is a way of answering a call ringing on another device which you would remotely not be able to access. For example, you have BLF enabled and you notice one of your colleague is receiving a phone call, instead of running all the way to his phone, you can simply pick it up from your own device!
How to Use Call Pickup?
Note: It is important the call is not answered in any form, otherwise you will not be able to pick up the call. That means that if the call reaches voicemail or someone picks it up, it won't be possible for you to answer it.
Note#2: Calls ringing on the main account cannot be picked up by a sub account and both accounts must be registered on the same point of presence.
The process is quite simple. While the phone you want to take the call from is ringing, dial *8 - ext number of the sub account. If the sub account has the extension 101, you would then dial *8101. For IP phone users, you can program your keys to do this automatically.
