ScopServ International Inc. is a global pioneer in the IP telephony solutions design (VoIP). The integrated system SCOPTEL IPBX provides one of the most stable environments and richest on the market.

Prerequisites

  • You must have a valid copy of the ScopTel software.
  • Minimum software release scopserv-telephony25-6.9.1.6.20191218-1
  • VoIP.ms Sub Account (You can create or use an existing Sub Account)


To use VoIP.ms with your ScopTEL PBX, in order to receive and make calls you will need to create a Trunk, an Inbound route and an outbound route. You must have your VoIP.ms sub account credential, such as your username and your password. We suggest using the VoIP.ms PoP Server that has the lowest latency between your ScopTEL IP PBX and the VoIP.ms PoP Server. To retrieve our PoP Servers list, click here


SIP Channel Configuration

Go on the Configuration where the upper navigation bar > Channels > SIP Channels, you need to edit 2 settings.

You can edit these settings by clicking on "EDIT" at the bottom of the page.

Where the section: "Miscellaneous", you need to edit these two settings.

  • Enable Session Progress and In-Band Audio ?: Select [YES]
  • Enable premature Media: You need to uncheck the box

Then click the [SAVE] button at the bottom of the page.

Create a new Trunk

Now click under the tab "Interfaces" where the upper navigation bar > VoIP Account and on the right side, click on "Add a new VoIP Account".

Click on the "General" tab.

  • Type: SIP
  • Trunk Type: Friend
  • Name: VoIPms (For example)


Click on the "Server" tab.

  • Username: Your Sub Account Username
  • Password: Your Sub Account Password
  • Host: you need to indicate your Voip.ms preferred server. (Needs the same as your DID to receive incoming calls.)
  • Port: TCP/UDP mode port default is "5060"
  • Register as User Agent [check]
  • Contact Extension: Your Sub Account Username

Click on the "Network" tab.

  • Transport mode: You can choose UDP, TCP or both
  • Insecure: Check the box "INVITE"

Click on the "Options" tab.

  • DTMF Mode: Automatic (RFC 2833/Inband)
  • Send Remote-Party-ID : Check the box [x]
  • Codecs: (needs to be the codec activated under "Advanced Options" of your Sub Account. By default you have G.711)
  • Disallowd Methods: Check the box [UPDATE].

Then click the button [Add] at the bottom of the page.

Using SIP TLS/SRTP for Call Traffic Encyption

To be able to do inbound and outbound calls using the call encryption over SIP TLS/SRTP, you need to activate the "Encrypted SIP Traffic" option under "Advanced options" when you edit or create a sub account.

TLS SIP Channel Configuration

Go on the Configuration where the upper navigation bar > Channels > SIP Channels, you need to edit 2 settings.

Under Configuration > Channels > SIP Channel you must enable the following options.

  • Enable support for SIP TLS (secure): You need to check the box.
  • Don’t verify servers certificate when acting as client?: You need to check the box.

Then click the [SAVE] button at the bottom of the page.

Create a new Trunk using SIP-TLS

Before creating a new trunk, you will need to activate the "Encrypted SIP Traffic" under "Advanced options" when you edit or create a sub account.

Now click under the tab "Interfaces" where the upper navigation bar > VoIP Account and at the right side, click on "Add a new VoIP Account".

Under "General" tab.

  • Type: SIP
  • Trunk Type: Friend
  • Name: VoIPms (For example)


Click on the "Server" tab.

  • Username: Your Sub Account Username
  • Password: Your Sub Account Password
  • Host: you need to indicate your Voip.ms preferred server. (Needs the same as your DID to receive incoming calls.)
  • Port: TLS port default is "5061"
  • Register as User Agent [check]
  • Enable TLS registration: [check]
  • Contact Extension: Your Sub Account Username

Click on the "Network" tab.

  • Transport mode: Select the protocol TLS only.
  • Insecure: Check the box "INVITE"
  • Enable SRTP encryption: Check the box.
  • SRTP Encryption Mode: Choose in the drop-down [AES 80]

Click on the "Options" tab.

Create an Inbound Rules

To set an Inbound Rules, in order to received incoming calls from your VoIP.ms DID numbers.

NOTE: Your DID needs to be under the same PoP Server as your SIP Trunk. You can route directly your DID to your Sub Account.

You will need to create an "Incoming Lines", to do so, click under the tab "Lines" where the upper navigation bar, then Incoming Lines tab. Then on the right side, click on "Add a new Incoming Line".

Now you will need to enter certain information related to your DID, and the routing you plan to use this DID.

  • Extension (DNIS): Your VoIP.ms DID number. (The same DID founded in your VoIP.ms "Manage DIDs" without dots.)
  • Trunk: Select from the drop-down the new trunk that you've just created [VoIPms (SIP)]


Then, you will be able to configure the other settings on the other tabs depending on your needs.
