While the screenshots used for this guide were taken from a Trio 8800, the steps and configuration applies for the VVX series, specifically tested with:
  • VVX 150
  • VVX 250
  • VVX 450

The Poly trio conferencing series let you join a meeting in seconds with a single touch of a button. Make audio calls, video calls, share content or all three.

Accessing The Web Interface

In order to configure your poly device to be used along with our service, it is required to access it's web interface settings. For this, the IP address of the device must be acquired.

To perform this go to the "Settings" menu of the phone. Once on the settings menu, go to: " Status " , then select: " System Information ". On this section, you'll need to take note of the IP address shown beside: " IP Address ". It should read back something as: " 192.168.0.1 ".


Once you have the IP address please open a web browser of your preference and it's URL bar enter the IP address you got by prepending: " http:// " and access it. Once accessed, you'll be prompted to authenticate.

Default's credentials are:
Login As: Admin
password: 456

Simple Setup

Once logged in, select the Simple Setup option from the top bar. Once there set the following values:

Base Profile
  • Base Profile: Generic
SIP Server
  • Address: One of VoIP.ms multiple SERVERS, you can choose the one closest to your location
  • Port: 5060 (Aditionally you could use 5080 or 42872)
SIP Outbound Proxy
  • Address: Be sure that you use the same one you used at SIP Server's Address
  • Port: Be sure that you use the same one you used at SIP Server's Port
SIP Line Identification
  • Display Name: The name you wish to pass when calling out
  • Address: 100000 (replace with your SIP main account or subaccount)
  • Authentication User ID: 100000 (replace with your SIP main account or subaccount)
  • Authentication Password: Your SIP account's password
  • Label: What will be displayed on your phone's line

Once you have set that information, scroll down and click the "Save" button.

SIP Setup

After that, go to the Menu Settings and then SIP and configure the following settings:

Local Settings
  • SIP Protocol: Enable
  • Local SIP Port: 5060 (Aditionally you could use 5080 or 42872)
Outbound proxy
  • Address: Be sure that you use the same one you used at SIP Server's Address
  • Port: Be sure that you use the same one you used at SIP Server's Port
  • Transport: DNSaptr (Here you could select UDP Only or TCP only depending on your network's requirements)
Server 1
  • Special Interop: Standard
  • Address: Be sure that you use the same one you used at SIP Server's Address
  • Port: Be sure that you use the same one you used at SIP Server's Port
  • Transport: DNSaptr (Here you could select UDP Only or TCP only depending on your network's requirements)
  • Expires: 300
  • Subscription Expires: 300
  • Register: Yes

Once you have set all those settings, click on the "Save" Button.
