&lt;div&gt;* $NOTIFY as a keepalive msg returns errors from the voip.ms server.  I have found setting NAT Keep Alive Msg to &amp;quot;KeepAlive&amp;quot; to be a better default choice.  It let's the server know your ATA is still there without forcing it to return an error each time.&lt;br /&gt;

* It might be worth mentioning that although G729 will save bandwidth it will degrade voice quality.&lt;br /&gt;
